Some friendships don't last forever, but I believe some still do...

randOm thOught

It's not how you start your journey that matters, it's how you end it.

I wish...

....I could go back in the past and stop some events from happening. If that's the case I would be happier now.

....I took things in the past more seriously and did better on my previous endeavors.

....that my mom would kiss and hug me in my dreams every night.

....I have an iPhone, a laptop and a car.

....that everyday would always turn out to be a great one.

....that my family and loved ones will always have good health and happiness.

....that there will be no more people suffering from hunger and violence.

....I earn more money online.

....I have a successful career.

....that all my wishes will be granted. haha

I still have lots of other wishes. I'll just update this post in the coming days.

45 Lessons Life Taught Me

Written By Regina Brett, 90 years old, of The Plain Dealer, Cleveland , Ohio "To celebrate growing older, I once wrote the 45 lessons life taught me. It is the most-requested column I've ever written." My odometer rolled over to 90 in August, so here is the column once more:

1. Life isn't fair, but it's still good.

2. When in doubt, just take the next small step.

3. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone.

4. Your job won't take care of you when you are sick. Your friends and parents will. Stay in touch.

5. Pay off your credit cards every month.

6. You don't have to win every argument. Agree to disagree.

7. Cry with someone. It's more healing than crying alone.

8. It's OK to get angry with God. He can take it..

9. Save for retirement starting with your first paycheck.

10. When it comes to chocolate, resistance is futile.

11. Make peace with your past so it won't screw up the present.

12. It's OK to let your children see you cry.

13. Don't compare your life to others. You have no idea what their journey is all about.

14. If a relationship has to be a secret, you shouldn't be in it.

15. Everything can change in the blink of an eye. But don't worry; God never blinks.

16. Take a deep breath. It calms the mind.

17. Get rid of anything that isn't useful, beautiful or joyful.

18. Whatever doesn't kill you, really does make you stronger.

19. It's never too late to have a happy childhood. But the second one is up to you and no one else.

20. When it comes to going after what you love in life, don't take no for an answer.

21. Burn the candles, use the nice sheets, wear the fancy lingerie. Don't save it for a special occasion. Today is special.

22. Over prepare, then go with the flow.

23. Be eccentric now. Don't wait for old age to wear purple.

24. The most important sex organ is the brain.

25. No one is in charge of your happiness but you.

26. Frame every so-called disaster with these words 'In five years, will this matter?

27. Always choose life.

28. Forgive everyone, everything.

29. What other people think of you is none of your business.

30. Time heals almost everything. Give time, time.

31. However good or bad a situation is, it will change.

32. Don't take yourself so seriously. No one else does.

33. Believe in miracles.

34. God loves you because of who God is, not because of anything you did or didn't do.

35. Don't audit life. Show up and make the most of it now.

36. Growing old beats the alternative - dying young.

37. Your children get only one childhood.

38. All that truly matters in the end is that you loved.

39. Get outside every day. Miracles are waiting everywhere.

40. If we all threw our problems in a pile and saw everyone else's, we'd grab ours back.

41. Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need.

42. The best is yet to come.

43. No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up.

44. Yield.

45. Life isn't tied with a bow, but it's still a gift."

Your Health Care

Think 3 Ps: Good health care is preventive, predictive and personalized, a rarity today in a crisis-oriented care system far better at treating disease than keeping it at bay. It's going beyond standard disease-of-the-day care to involve a range of extra factors (physical, lifestyle habits, mind-body interaction) that play a role in preventing illness, and helping people stick with recommended changes long enough to see a benefit.

Visual Talking -- Put Images Where Your Mouth Is!

Universal Health Care

Polls indicate that most Americans are satisfied with their coverage. But the White House and other advocates of overhauling healthcare say people are probably paying more for insurance each year. Premiums for employer-provided plans have risen four times faster than wages, and are now double their cost nine years ago. Deductibles are rising as well. Supporters of the legislation contend that healthcare costs are a drag on the economy.

Thoughts on Rejection

Rejections are common everywhere. When we are rejected we feel sad and sorry for ourselves. We even feel that the world is on our shoulders. We get discouraged and depressed. But rejections should be seen as challenges or reminders that there are still things we need to improve in ourselves like our physical appearance or our skills and other things.

Thoughts on Disappointments

When we don't get what we want, we get disappointed. Especially when you expected too much. Sometimes it's better not to expect at all and just go on with the flow and let God do his plan. There may be other opportunities out there but still it's hard to accept failures and defeat. Some things aren't meant for us. We must learn how to accept everything that happens whether it's good or bad and just thank God for everything that's happening. When we get disappointed, the best thing that we can do is to accept what happened, move on and pray.

Do You Care? dNeero-ites Care!

Looks like dNeero-ites care ... celebrity deaths, international politics and problems, recession, flu, Harry Potter ... my o my ... here are some of the questions dNeeroites asked.

Health Care Affordability

Strong majorities of Americans across the political spectrum would support diverse approaches to expanding health insurance coverage, including letting uninsured adults participate in Medicare or state public insurance programs, such as Medicaid and the State Children's Health Insurance Program, offering tax credits for people to purchase coverage on their own or requiring employers to offer and contribute to the cost of their employees' health insurance coverage.

Do You Care?

Why not? Why? There are so many things that happen, and so many facts ... but really, how much of all this affects you or that you can affect?

dNeero is going to add "Do You Care?" conversations to it's already successful "SpitzTunes" series. They'll look at the news from many sources ... if you have a favorite online source, please let them know.

They'll always end with the question "What do you care about most right now?"

Thoughts on Health and Wealth

Health is wealth. But while we are young, we tend to sacrifice our health in order to earn money or gain wealth, but as we get older we sacrifice our wealth to regain our health. Ironic, isn’t it? But this is true.

Most people work very hard without considering the effects on their health. This happens especially to those who are employed to different jobs over a certain period of time. Or to people who want to earn or save some amount of money for something they want to buy or just for the purpose of saving or to those who take their jobs very seriously.

Working hard is not bad as long as we know our limitations and when to stop and take some rest. We should not force our body and mind to do work once it is already tired. When our bodies are tired, our work performance is affected. We should not abuse it because we need our bodies to work. Our bodies are our capital and asset for our jobs. Once we suffer from over exhaustion, we have no choice but to stop working or to take a leave from work until we recover. This would stop us from our goal of earning.

Once we get old or as we reach retirement, we have no choice but to spend our savings or wealth for medicines for our health maintenance. We could lessen these expenses by living a healthy lifestyle while we are young and by not abusing our bodies. Having a healthy way of living will help prevent sicknesses in the future and will also help us to perform better in our daily activities and jobs. With good health, we can accomplish our tasks easily and do more of the other things we need to do.

While we are young, we should enjoy our lives and keep in mind that life is not just about earning money or getting rich. We must give a lot of importance to our health and spend some time for leisure activities so that we won’t have any regrets once we get older.

Without our bodies we won’t be able to work and earn money. That is why we must take care of it and give it some time to relax and have fun. Our health is our wealth!

Thoughts on Friendship

Throughout our lives, we meet lots of people with different characters and personalities. Some of them turn out to be our friends. Friends come and go, but there are those who stay with us for the rest of our lives. It is hard to find a friend who is willing to stay with you forever. It is not impossible for our friends to leave us given that there are a lot of people living in this world with whom they can make new friends with.

All of us need our friends. Without friendship the world would be a very lonely place to live in. Our friends are there for us all the time, in every chapter of our lives. They are there through the good times and the bad, through laughter and tears, through whatever trials and predicaments life brings.

Sometimes those who hate each other the most become the best of friends. Some friendships even lead to greater relationships like marriage. Some boyfriend or girlfriend relationships break apart yet their friendship still remains.

It is not only the people that we meet outside, like in school or work, are to be considered as our friends. Even our parents, brothers, sister and other family members or relatives can be our best friend. Everyone in this world can be our friend. But some people choose their friends, they don’t easily trust others. They choose who they want to share their company with. Other people even take quite some time before they develop their friendship and ease with someone. But there are a lot who can easily make friends in just a few minutes.

Sometimes, we categorize our friends. We have our best friends, close friends, true friends or just plain friends. Some people even establish a level of importance when it comes to their friends. But no matter what level of friendship we have for each of them, we must keep in mind that friends are to be treasured and cherished. We should not abuse and use them with bad intentions in mind or just to gain an advantage over some things. We must keep our friendship as genuine as possible.

Friends are essential in our lives. It’s hard to imagine living in a world with no friends. Just the thoughts of having no friends scare us. So, we must value and appreciate our friends all the time.

Personal Moving and Storage

Moving your stuff is never easy. But there's a whole industry that can help! In this conversation opinions are asked about moving and storage companies.

Endurance Athletes

Endurance training and racing requires quite a commitment from athletes ... the commitment is for time and money ... they put up with pain, they eat for the event and buy supplements that cost a bundle ... their equipment is specialized to their events (shoes, high performance clothing, bikes, skis, wet suit, heart monitor, exercise equipment, etc., etc.) Some of the athletes are in the professional ranks, but most are age-groupers. Why do the age-groupers do it?

What Your Hair Says About You!

When you know it's time to change your style, we bet it's because of how you're feeling ... and don't tell me that that the shaved look in the military doesn't have as much or more to do with fitting in, and it does with functionality. How important is our hair? Do a search for 'hair' in Bing.com (Microsoft's new search engine) and you'll be loaded with 249 million pages ... search for 'shoes' and you'll only get 152 million pages ... it ain't scientific, but it sure is suggestive.

Thoughts on Confidence

Today I learned that confidence comes from within. All of us must learn how to carry ourselves in any situation we are in. We should not be easily shaken and lose our confidence when someone looks at us from head to toe.

Confidence is important in personality development but the things that the eyes can't see are far more important.

Tattoos ... Unsavory or Main Stream?

Emerging from their often unsavoury reputation of the recent past, tattoos have gained increasing prominence in the past decade. Life magazine estimated in 1936 that 10 million Americans, or approximately 6% of the population had at least one tattoo. A Harris Poll, done in 2003, nearly triples those numbers and estimates that 16% of Americans now have one or more tattoos. According to a 2006 survey by the Pew Research Center, thirty-six percent of those ages 18 to 25, and 40 percent of those ages 26 to 40, have at least one tattoo.

Contentment and Happiness

Let's face it, most people are not satisfied with their lives. Most of us want to achieve more and more. We want to have the latest gadgets and buy new clothes every time we go to malls. Some of us are narrow-minded at times. We don't consider how lucky we are and we tend to overlook the blessings that God is giving us. We don't see the good things, we only tend to look at the imperfections or the incompleteness we are experiencing. Sometimes we complain if we don't get the things we want, but wouldn't it be better to think that even though we don't have everything at least we don't have nothing.

Be thankful with what you have and be satisfied. Contentment can't be acquired overnight. You need to practice it. You must try to be happy and contented even with simple things. Try to be positive. If you have a problem and you feel like the world is on your shoulders, why not think about people who have problems bigger than yours.

There are people who go to their beds at night with an empty stomach. There are a lot of people who don't have homes and just sleep on sidewalks yet are somewhat contented with their lives. You put a smile on their face even with a small amount of money you give them or even by giving them the food you are holding.

Try to make a simple list of the blessings or good things you experience everyday, like a good result from an examination, a good feedback for a project, a smile from your crush, a delicious meal with your family and a lot more. By making this list, you are able to record how lucky you are.

If everyone could just realize how fortunate they are in several ways, they are on their ways to achieving satisfying and happy lives.

You Can't Have Everything

Even for once in our lives, we dream of achieving fame, wealth, luck and more. But there are times when we get disappointed when things seem to go the way we don’t want it to or when we don’t get what we desire. We think that there’s a conspiracy against our dream. There are times when we feel that we are left behind and life is being unfair.

There are moments in your life wherein you see other people enjoying an opportunity you also really wanted to have, but sadly you can’t. We feel jealous and resentful although we know that we shouldn’t be.

It is a fact that we can’t have everything in life. There instances that you really want something badly and yet you can never have it no matter what you do. It hurts sometimes, but you have to accept it.

Everything indeed happens for a reason and there’s a perfect timing for everything. If you can’t have it now maybe it will be given to you tomorrow, next week, next year or even in your next lifetime. Or maybe, it’s not really meant for you.

Just think that God has better plans for you and He will never let you down. There might be bigger opportunities waiting ahead of you that are about to unfold that could be something better than what you originally wanted.

You can’t deposit all the money in the world in your bank account. You can never be friends with everyone you want to be friends with. You can’t get all the opportunities you wanted. You can’t have all the knowledge of the world. You really can’t have everything.

Just try to appreciate what you have and still work hard towards achieving your dream and do what you really want. You may not have everything but at least you don’t have nothing.
